This film follows a young Uyghur man working in Beijing who falls in love with a Han ethnic woman. He encounters objection from her father and hostility from people around him due to ethnic differences. Zhu Xueke graduated from the Drama and Film Directing program at Shandong University of Arts and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Documentary at the University of the Arts London. Passionate about capturing real-life events, she focuses on documenting the stories of marginalized individuals through her films. Her directorial work includes the film Cantaloupe and the documentary Treatment.
